Chemical etching can be used to make your most challenging encoder disks. Slots can be as small as 1.2 times the thickness of the material. Therefore on .03thick material the openings can be as small as .036. Etching can also create webs that are as small as 60% of the material thickness. On a .03thick encoder disk the webs can be as small as .018wide.Because our etching process dissolves the extra material, it does not add any extra stress to the metal. This will allow the disks to stay as flat as the material with which we started. Chemical etching does not create any burrs on parts thus leaving no extra obstruction on the part.
The main materail we use is stainless steel imported from Janpan,including SUS304,SUS306 etc.
